Since a butterfly goes through a maturation process, I think that they symbolize ”change in time”. People see them as creativeand beautiful but, I think that they also represent deveopement.

I agree that Jocylen and Blair’s comments are both accurate about butterfly’s. In response I think that butterflies can represent peace because its like the woods in Tuck Everlasting. In Tuck Everlasting the woods made you wanted to be quite be cause they had a peaceful apperance. I belive that butterflies can also represent peace and send the same type of message to people.

Ohhhhhhh!! taht is a great point Blair! I did not think of that! Yes, i do think that butterflies could represent creativity as well as beauty. I also agree with Jocelyn when she said that butterflies represent freedom because they can fly with grace, and without any trouble. People enjoy watching butterflies because of their appearence, and gracefullness

Butterflies can represent many things! It represents freedom, time passing, future, beauty, life, emotions, pleasure, it can represent the butterfly (swimming stroke), and it an also represent something new.

it could affect the world because that butterfly was to be observed and people in the ancient days were suppose to get the idea from that certain type of butterfly.

I agree with Blair and Alec. The Butterfly is a symbol of Beauty, with out it the people might not be able to understand or ever expeirenced it before. For Example if you have never heard seen or experienced something then you would never know what beauty or creativeness ment which is was the butterfly resembled

yes, that could also have sparked some creativity, but i am also somewhat spectical, about how this one butterfly could change so much. Other things brought creativity, like flowers for instance… and many many more, just because this one butterfly died all this changed… that seems very fake.

Butterflies can be considered a sign of beauty because butterflies come in different shapes and colors. They also are a sign of creativity because no butterfly is the same, unless it is in the same species. Butterflies are like people because no person is alike. If everyone was alike, the world would be boring.
When the butterfly died, a lot of beauty and creativity was losted because artists used the butterflies for art and Eckles killed about millions of butterflies when he stepped on that one butterfly. The society isn’t as creative post butterfly killing then it was before.

Yes that might be true too, all origanality, and creativity had been lost after the death of the butterfly, this being shown by the citezens voting for a strict ruling leader, that they listened to and obeyed, leaving no trace of revolutionary and creative thoughts.
