Fahrenheit 451

Here is your opportunity to ask questions that you might want to be answered and have some of your fellow classmates answer them in preparation for your test on Wednesday.

To start, here is a question from Maya:

Mr. Kolade, What are the concepts, symbols, and ideas that you want us to know for “Super Toys Last all Summer”?

Maybe the are Real Vs. Unreal, and loneliness or are those the themes?

(to Yinka) Those are themes, I think. But we still need to know it for the test.

What are the messages behind super toys last all sumer long and the sound of thunder. I think that the message behind Fahrenheit 451 is to look back on other peoples mistakes so you don’t make the samae ones your self, I’m I right ??

I have a question…What would the setting be for Sound of Thunder? future or past?

The meanings for Super Toys Last All Summer Long has to do with the Real vs. Unreal stuff, and the Sound of Thunder meaning is something like “something seemlingly insignifacant can change the world as you know it.” or something like that.

It might be the mask (symbol) they wore to hide their real selves, and while David is trying to have real feelings. (real vs. unreal-theme). The fact that they have a parasite in their stomachs that cause them to not become fat (symbol).

Yeah, what was the purpose of Super Toys and Sound of Thunder? I agree with Yinka that its about real vs.unreal but it doesn’t tell u how you can fix the problem. Sound of Thunder was even worse I dont really think there was a important moral out of that except dont go into the futrue because the only thing that comes out of it is messing up or altering the future
